FIRST LEGO League comes to the British Motor Show
New for this year, we are excited to announce that the Institution of Engineering and Technology will be bringing the FIRST® LEGO® League to The British Motor Show.
Aimed squarely at the under 17’s, it’s one of the most interactive and hands-on attractions at this year’s show. The IET will give visitors the chance to have a go at coding the LEGO Education SPIKE Prime robot, or build their own model using LEGO bricks as well as giving an exclusive look at the new FIRST® LEGO® League MASTERPIECE season kits.
Behind the fun of designing and building robots there is a serious message. As part of our commitment to showcasing careers in the automotive sector The IET team will be on hands to help and chat with visitors about how they can get involved in FIRST® LEGO® League as a student, teacher or parent.
What is FIRST® LEGO® League?
FIRST® LEGO® League is an exciting, hands-on Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) programme, that engages children and young people in meaningful learning from 4-16 years old.
The IET are committed to inspiring the next generation of engineers and technicians, and FIRST® LEGO® League is a fantastic way to do that, delivering hands-on STEM experiences through their 3 league divisions across the UK and Ireland.
