Here at The British Motor Show we recognise that sustainable motoring is key to the future of transport. We aim to help educate and encourage our visitors to consider more sustainable ways to drive. We want to showcase a range of solutions that all car drivers and car fans can consider to reduce their carbon footprint and improve their sustainability, while continuing to enjoy their classic cars.
But we’re not just encouraging others. We will be putting our money where our mouth is, all vehicles associated with the show, from our shuttle buses to the display and test drive cars will be running on Coryton Sustain, a sustainable c02 neutral fuel.
Coryton will again be the Official Fuels Partner to the show and will be supplying all of the petrol and diesel for the British motor show’s cars – including those used in the live test drives, live arena and shuttle buses, as well as those used by the show organisers
Sustain by Coryton is focused on developing sustainable fuels that push for net zero impact. Its second generation biodiesel and bio-gasoline utilises agricultural waste products and can reduce carbon emissions by over 80%
When it comes to sustainable car choices, most folk wouldn’t think of a 5.0-litre V8 muscle car, but The British Motor Show has about to changing perceptions, and educating the public that there are ways be a greener driver, if you can’t make the switch to EV yet.
As well as using Coryton fuel, the Sustainable V8 Project Mustang has also be run on sustainable oils, use eco tyres and will be maintained using reusable service parts or second-life spare parts when needed as part of our partnership with eBay.
With Ev undoubtedly being a huge part of all of our motoring futures, we have partnered with some of the biggest brands in automotive to bring the latest cars and charging technology to the show.
With pure EV manufacturers including Tesla and BYD leading the EV focus, all dealers and manufactures at the show are being encouraged to showcase their brands latest EV range at this show.
In addition we are welcoming myenergi back as our Official Charging Partner. myenergi disrupted the EV charger market in 2017 with the launch of the pioneering eco-smart EV charger zappi, which either uses power from the grid, or your own home Solar PV system or wind generation.
A core principle of the British Motor Show is to Educate and Inform, and we recognise that we have an unparalleled opportunity to to work with our partners to educate our visitors on the future of motoring, the exciting work being done to make cars and the industry as a whole greener, and to dispel myths about what these changes means to them.
Working with partners including the IMI, we host a tech hub that focuses on the future of motoring, with information talks and hands on sessions covering everything from sustainable fuels, to making the switch to EV all delivered by experts, in way that makes it easier for everyone to understand how they can become part of a cleaner motoring future.
