Live Action at The British Motor Show
No other Motor Show has ever delivered such a variety of live content, celebrity guests and live acts.
The cinch Live Arena is where all the action will take place, from live stunt shows, supercar displays to group tests and classic car parades. The arena will once again be stuffed with action and fun from start to end, including a very special opening and closing display each day! We will have an all new show for 2023 and our Motorsport arena will return with more motorsport, drifting displays and stars.
Hang out with some of the most famous faces in motoring in our new Automotive Influencer Zone or take part in a quiz and have a bit of fun at The Live Stage, hosted by Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend from CAR SOS.
Get involved and hands-on with our driving experiences. Take a ride in a dream supercar with Sporting Bears Dream Rides, strap in and go drifting in a Caterham or get your kid behind the wheel with our Under 17 Driving Lessons. There will be something for everyone to get involved in at the show.
What's happening at the show
The cinch Live Arena
Paul Swift’s stunt team will wow the crowds with an all new stunt extravaganza, featuring sideways and two-wheel driving, while other key highlights will be the supercar parades, in which an amazing selection of the world’s most exotic cars will rumble into the arena and make some noise.
Other Arena features are the classic car parade, world record attempts, and celebrity competitions, along with Mike Brewer’s own group tests of some of the most important new cars at the show, from EVs to SUVs.
The Live Stage
The Live Stage will be THE place to head to rub shoulders with celebrities. Hear their stories and car history; the good and the questionable, as they get interviewed, test your knowledge in our quizzes and be in with the chance to win prizes with our giveaways.
Learn about the latest technology with a schedule packed with panel sessions designed to cut through the jargon and explain the topics in simple, easy to understand terms product launches and more.
Motorsport Arena
Our Motorsport Zone and Motorsport Arena , will be even bigger for 2023.
Watch the amazing motorsport, motorcycle and drifting displays and learn more about the variety of motorsport available in the UK, from karting to under-17 series and BTCC to Porsche Carrera cup cars.
See display teams from all disciplines of Motorsport wow you with their incredible stunts, from drifting to mountain bike performances.
Get behind the wheel with a test drive
Our Test Drive experience will allow you to get behind the wheel of some of the latest cars for sale, With our test drive track visitors will be able to book to test drive the latest vehicles for sale. Like what you see? You’ll even be able to buy cars at the show, with special show discounts of course.
Test drives will be available to book nearer the show, or on the day.
Caterham Passenger Rides
In Partnership with Caterham and Avon Tyres we are proud to play host to Caterham’s pro-drifting team. The elite driving team will be putting on some serious sideways action and you can get involved. The Caterham Drift Taxi is a passenger ride unlike any other. Once you’re strapped into the passenger seat, skilled drivers negotiate a tight and technical course designed to get a car sliding in three specially-tuned Caterham Seven 270s, adapted with drifting in mind. We’ll be running four Drift Taxi Sessions each day. Caterham drift taxi rides are available for anyone over the age of 7 and a minimum of 1.1m tall
Under 17 Driving Lessons
We’re delighted to welcome Young Driver to The British Motor Show this year as our Under 17s driving partner. Their team of specially trained driving instructors will be providing taster lessons for 10 to 17s throughout the entire event. Get your kids behind the wheel for a 15-minute driving experience in a manual car fitted with dual controls and with a fully qualified driving instructor. Your child will practice steering, reversing parking and even a bit of slalom! And if you’re feeling brave, come and be their passenger! Children MUST be aged 10 or over and you MUST have a ticket for the show to take part.
Electric Ride Experience
The show isn’t just about test driving cars, we want to give you the chance to test ride vehicles with a difference. Going bigger in 2023 will be our electric ride experience. This will be a dedicated, outdoor area that will let you try out the latest ebikes and scooters, in a safe space.
There will be experts on hand to help answer any questions that you have.
