With so much to see and do, The British Motor Show is like no other show. So, if you can only manage one day, then here are the things that you can’t miss.

The cinch Live Arena

The cinch Live Arena – hosted by TV’s Wheeler Dealer Mike Brewer and Auto Alex – is one of the show’s star attractions and will be packed with action every day from 10.30am onwards. These are just some of the highlights:

Shred Shed Live at The British Motor Show 2022

  • 10:00 – Opening Ceremony

    Don’t be late or you’ll miss our amazing opening ceremony which features iconic film and TV themes, and drifting!

  • 11:00 & 14:00 – Supercar Showdown

    Mike Brewer & David Trigg from Premier GT showcase a selection of some of the best Supercars in the world. See and hear them in the arena while David gives you the vital stats and chats to the drivers about these amazing machines.

  • 13:00 & 16:00 – Crewsade Drift Shows

    Crewsade bring the noise back to the British Motor Show with their unique drift show, choreographed by a west end choreographer. It’s loud, it’s exciting and it’s bonkers!

  • 14:30 – Paul Swift Stunt Show

    Paul and his team deliver an all new stunt show for the crowd, including some ride along involvement for some lucky members of the crowd

And don’t forget at 12:00 everyday the British Army Lighting Bolts will be jumping out of a plane from 20,000ft and performing an aerial display before landing in the arena.

Check out the eBay Live Stage

Tim Shaw and Fuzz Townshend will be hosting the eBay Live Stage all day, and it’s one of the show’s not-to-be-missed attractions. Key highlights include:

  • 11:00 – Repair, Restore, Replace

    Tim and Fuzz talk about the world of restoration and repair. Offering tips, advice and the latest trends in restoration, using their experience from the show. Including the low down on why eBay is the gem in the home mechanic and restorers world.

  • 13:20 – Record Breakers

    Helping support our focus on record breakers at the show, Guinness World Records joins Paul Swift and Kevin Nicks on stage. Paul and Kevin have over 10 automotive world records between them. We’ll share some of the weirder automotive world records and what went into breaking them.

  • 15:20 – Sustainable Fuels. What are they, and are they the future?

    We announce the results of our Sustainable V8 project in partnership with eBay, and how CAR SOS have been using Sustain in some of their restorations before opening the conversation up to the bigger sustainable motoring conversation, is this the future for car fans?

  • 16:00 – Tim & Fuzz crazy giveaway / Play your cars right

    This was supposed to be an automotive twist on the classic family favourite ‘Play your cards right’, inviting guests up on stage to see if they can make it across the board, however Tim & Fuzz can’t be trusted to stick to a plan and they’re already coming up with a series of bizarre and wonderful ways to give prizes away.

Visit the IMI Tech Hub

Automotive technology is developing faster than ever before. The IMI Tech Hub helps you understand the latest tech, get safety advice and discover more about careers in the industry. Hosted in the BYD Hall, here’s just a few of the highlights:

  • 11:30 – Car Maintenance for kids

    Aimed at helping kids understand the basics on how a car works. Haynes Museum’s experts will get them involved in understanding what an MOT checks and the basic safety checks that should be carried out in a fun and interactive session.

  • 12:00 – Motorist Question Time, Ask the experts

    The AA are experts in all things automotive. In this session some of the most experienced automotive experts in the country will be on stage to answer your automotive related questions and give independent advice.

  • 13:50 – Drivers Den – The latest car tech (Thurs – Sat)

    A “Dragons Den Style”session where 3 companies get to pitch their latest product and idea to the audience and our experts. Our experts will discuss the ideas before the audience get to vote on what they think is the best idea.

  • 15:10 – Motoring in 2050 (Thurs – Sat)

    A fun and interesting look at what motoring might look like in 2050. Will we all be moving about in autonomous cars or will they be flying? What fuel will we be using and what will technology look like?

Get racy in the Bridgestone Motorsport Arena

Head to The Bridgestone Hall and Motorsport Arena to check out some fantastic motorsport displays, celebrity car football and of course the best of Petrolheadonism as well as plenty of other live action including:

  • 10:00 & 15:30 – Auto Solo

    FDMC will be running a demonstration of Auto Solo, one of the most accessible forms of motorsport in the UK, including passenger rides for a few lucky members of the crowd.

  • 11:20 & 14:50 – Petrolheadonsim Live

    Ciro Ciampi will be showcasing some of the wilder cars at the show in the Bridgestone Motorsport Arena. If you like your supercars modified and loud then don’t miss this session.

  • 12:40 – Car Football

    Car Football is back – Following our qualifiers we’ll be playing our semi final playoffs on Thursday and Friday, with 3rd place playoff on Saturday and the final on Sunday. We’ll have celebrities, Influencers and sports stars all involved !

  • 13:30 – Mountain Bike Display

    The Extreme Mountain Bike Show is a team created by 5 times British and European Trials Champion Danny Butler and containing the best talent from Team GB. Witness them leap from vehicle roof to roof, as well as fly above the heights of any mere mortal. Get ready for an electrifying two-wheel show to entertain the whole family!

Take a once-in-a-lifetime experience

If you want something to make your day truly memorable, there are loads of interactive experiences at the show. How about a ride along with the Crewsade drift team? Or a passenger ride in your own dream car courtesy of Sporting Bears Dream Rides? Drive a truck, go for a simulator ride, or take a test drive in a brand new car?

Under 17? No problem. Even youngsters can get behind the wheel thanks to Young Driver, offering behind-the-wheel fun (and education) for 5-17 year olds.
