Everything you need to know about making the most of The British Motor Show
The doors to The British Motor Show open tomorrow, so here’s everything you need to know, to make the most of the show.
The show is taking place at Farnborough International Expo Centre. We have 3 huge indoor halls and acres of outdoor entertainment, so no matter what the weather there will be plenty to do and plenty to see, and doors open at 10am, so get here early.
Getting to us
We have plenty of FREE parking a short walk or shuttle bus ride from the main entrance, our car parks open at 8am and close at 7pm. Pedestrians can enter via Gate B, this is also where the shuttle buses will drop you off. Set your sat nav to postcode GU11 2JL for Queens Parade parking, the entrance is on Queens Avenue. Holders of VIP passes and blue badge parking should follow the signs to Gate F.
Shuttle buses will run from Queens parade from 8am until 6:30pm, we will also have shuttle buses running to Farnborough Main station from 9:30am until 6pm despite any industrial action that may be taking place.

Food and drink
There will be a wide variety of food and drink, both in the halls and outside. Our main food court is located by hall 5, where there’s also a picnic area. You’re welcome to bring your own picnic, but no alcohol or glass bottles will be allowed. Like any large event, queues are most likely between 12pm and 2pm, but we have more food and drink outlets than last year and hope to keep these moving quickly. We will have complimentary drinking water points located in all main halls, so feel free to bring a refillable water bottle (or treat yourself to a motor show one from our merchandise stand)
Test drives
Don’t forget, it’s not just about what you can look at, we also have over 20 different models at the show for visitors to test drive. However, you must make sure you bring your license along. You should also bring along a valid DVLA check code, which you can get HERE. But if you forget, we’ll have a test drive desk set up that can do this for you, however, we’ll still need your license and National Insurance Number.

Booking experiences
There is plenty of stuff for you and the family to do at the show. However, some of the experiences including The Caterham Drift Taxi & Under 17 Driving get booked up quite quickly, so we would encourage you to head over and book your spot with them when you arrive.
Don’t miss anything
Make sure you check out our site map on the website or when you arrive so you don’t miss any of the really cool stuff. We’ve taken over most of the venue, so it’s worth making sure you know where everything is in advance. It’s also worth checking out the schedules before you arrive so that you can plan the thing you really want to see and do. Don’t forget to bring a camera! ( and tag us #britishmotorshow)

Or if you like your cars modified then you need to head to the Petrolheadonism Zone in hall 5. Ciro and his friends from YouTube will have some of the wildest supercars on the planet. Plus, meet some of the influencers you know from social media and see their cars in the flesh.
The latest cars in the UK will be on display, so look out for the first public outings of the Subaru Solterra, Mazda CX-60 and the all-new SsangYong Musso, plus an exclusive reveal of a British-built and designed electric van, the INDe.
Looking for a career change, or maybe inspiration for when you leave school? Check out the Automotive Career Expo in Hall 2 and our two dedicated career panels on the Tech Stage at 11:00 and 15:30.
This year, we’re giving you the chance to take part in a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS attempt. Head to the Hall 1 welcome reception and grab a photo of the Ford Mustang GT on display. Then, between 10:15 and 11:15; 12:00 and 13:00 or 14:00 and 15:00 upload it to Facebook using the hashtag #motorshowrecord. We’re aiming to create a world record for the most number of photos of a car uploaded in one-hour, so here’s YOUR chance to make motor show history.
