Live arena at the british motor show with mike brewer and mustang

Get ready for a breath-taking weekend of amazing live-action. One of the star attractions of the British Motor Show is the cinch Live Arena, with even more excitement, even more thrills and even more action this year!

Hosted by Mr Wheeler Dealer Mike Brewer and Petrolhead Olympian and BBC one show host Iwan Thomas, the Live Arena returns with stunt extravaganzas, Supercars in action, classic car parades, group tests, driving challenges and more.

So, what have we got planned?  Read on and we’ll tell you.

Paul Swift Stunt Extravaganza

Top Gear stunt driver, previous Guinness World Record-holder and British Autotest Champion Paul Swift and his stunt display team will be the stars of the show, delivering two all-new stunt displays for 2022. This will be one of the most exciting things on four (or sometimes two) wheels throughout the weekend with two different shows each day. Paul will also be attempting to break a Guinness World record in the arena each day.

You’ll see stunts and driving skills that are normally only seen in the movies. Paul, the man originally behind the Top Gear Live stunt show, is remaining tight-lipped about exactly what the team will be up to at the event, though he has admitted that amongst the displays, a trio of Mini’s are going to be involved.

Supercar Parades

Not only will you be able to see some of the rarest and most expensive cars ever made in our Premier GT Supercar paddock, but in the cinch Live Arena, you’ll be able to see, hear and feel some of these super rare cars in action too.

Watch the team put them in action around the arena, get all of the vital statistics, check out the acceleration and listen to chats with the drivers to find out more about these amazing machines. This is the only place you’ll get so close to these cars and get to see them in live action!

Ending the day with something special

Car Football closed the show each day in 2021. A collection of celebrities, racing drivers and influencers went head to head, putting right the wrongs of the European Football Finals when we pitted England against Italy in car football.

How do we top that? Simple, this year we will be pitting Olympians against Automotive Celebrities in our CARmonwealth games.

Teams of celebrities will do battle in our athletic themed end of day show featuring 4 x 100 relays, tug of war, long jump and more…

Classic & Owners Club Parades

Head to the cinch Live Arena where we will be showcasing a selection of rare and classic cars from the owner’s clubs on display and will give a little bit of history before chatting to the owners about their cherished cars.  Find out what makes them special and reminisce over cars you once owned!

Group Tests & Tech Displays

Every day Mike Brewer will pick from the latest cars that you can see on display at The British Motor Show. Find out more about them as Mike tests them and gives you all the information you need to know about them. Our group tests will show you the best cars in their class and explain why.

British Army Lightning Bolts Display Team opening the show

We had the lightning bolts with us last year and the crowd loved them, so we’ve invited them back again for 2022! This is an awesome display from the 𝗕𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗵 𝗔𝗿𝗺𝘆 𝗟𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗼𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗱𝗶𝘀𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺, who will be jumping out of a plane and creating an amazing aerial display over Farnborough, before landing in the cinch Live Arena in front of the crowd and the cars. Cheer them on as they all attempt to hit the target.
