School of Thought is in the business of changing and shaping current thinking for recruitment, retention and career progression for young people. The work they do is aimed at helping solve one of the automotive industry’s biggest challenges – attracting new talent and young people, and raiseing its profile.

School of Thought makes sure it’s partners are empowered by creating opportunities for every part and every link into our industry.

When most people think of careers in automotive they tend to only think of sales and technician roles – 2 of the most important jobs in the automotive ecosystem, but what they don’t realise is that there are literally hundreds of other roles across the industry.

From marketing to design, logistics to programming there are exciting opportunities for everyone. Whether you’re a school leaver looking for an apprenticeship, or looking for a change of career, Dave and his team will be on hand to talk to kids, parents and job-seekers alike.

Dave will also be hosting daily careers panels on the IMI Tech Hub Stage and hosting some of School of Thoughts partner on their stand in Hall 2.
