10 Things that make The British Motor Show a great day out for the kids

The British Motor Show returns from the 18 – 21 August 2022 as a show for the whole family. However, you don’t need to be car mad or in the market for your next vehicle to have a great day. We’ve created a show that will appeal to everyone. So, what do we have planned to keep the kids entertained at the show?
1 – The cinch Family Zone
The cinch family zone is the hub of our kids entertainment in Hall 1, offering car colouring, face painting and the chance for youngsters to get involved in wrapping a car. Plus, with a huge car mat and loads of hotwheel cars, there’s loads of fun for children of all ages, and of course it’s free!

2 – Giant Scalextric
We’ll have not one, but two giant scalextric tracks for the kids (and big kids) to have some fun on. Come and see if you can set the fastest time of the day, or play against our celebrities. It might be old school but who doesn’t love a scalextric track?

3 – Under 17 Driving
One of the most popular parts of the show and guaranteed to sell out. We have more cars available this year, giving more youngsters the option to get behind the wheel, courtesy of young drivers. Although advanced purchases are sold out, you will still be able to purchase 15 minute driving lesson for your youngsters on the day.

4 – Rides
Who doesn’t love a fairground ride? This year we are bringing Dodgems and a Runaway Train to the live action area of the show, along with two AMG racing simulators, a TT motorbike simulator, old school favourite “The Wall of Death” and even some very cool ride on electric mini Land Rovers for the very youngest budding drivers.

5 – Live arena shows
Our live action is designed to appeal to all ages, but it’s a particular favourite of the younger generation who love the noise of the supercars, the squeal of burning rubber in our stunt displays and the excitement of our under 16 motorbike display team. The two live arenas will keep your family entertained all day.

6 – Supercars & influencers
The British Motor Show will be one of the only places that your youngsters will be able to get up close to some of the amazing supercars that they see on the internet. Not just that, we’ll have a number of their favourite influencers with us over the weekend, including Yianni, Sam Hard, Petrolheadonism and Ratarossa. Imagine the look on their face when they meet their favourite influencer or celebrity face to face.

7 – Racing Simulators
We’ll have 3 driving simulators around the site, including 2 AMG F1 simulators, plus 2 racing sim rigs in the cinch Family Zone. The rigs are state of the art racing sims, with the latest games and the chance for people to race each other and even our celebrities!

8 – Word Search
Everyone will be able to join in the Marshall Motor Group word search. Encourage your youngsters to keep an eye open for letters hidden in cars around the show, which will combine to create a word. Once completed, drop it off and see if you might win a Family VIP ticket for the 2023 show.

9 – The Racing Bug
This was without doubt one of the most popular parts of the cinch Family Zone in 2021, especially when our celebs and famous racing drivers got involved! Racing six at a time you’ll be driving a remote control car around our track, trying to beat the other drivers. Think of it like go-karting, but from the comfort of a nice racing seat.

10 – Racing cars and more….
We’ll have F1 cars, NASCARs, modified cars, classic cars, cars from TV, Tesla’s and more. There’s something for everyone at the show and something to satisfy every mini car fan, whether it’s bright and loud, or full of the latest tech….
