Test Drives, Live action, the biggest variety of cars under one roof and the chance to win £1,000 towards your next set of wheels are just some of the draws of the newly relaunched British Motor Show, which returns as an international event in 2020.
The organisers are encouraging manufacturers to use the show as a key part of their sales strategy in 2020, rather than just a place to showcase their latest models. To help support this they will be offering an additional £1000 contribution to one lucky winner who orders a new car at the show.
Taking place at the vast Farnborough International exhibition centre in Hampshire from August 20 to 23, the show will not only focus on family fun and petrolhead entertainment, but will also allow visitors in the market for a new vehicle a unique opportunity to compare vehicles, test drive, buy cars, lease cars, get their own motors valued and even drive away on the day.
What’s more, the show’s organising committee – who between them have over a century of automotive industry experience – are prepared to put their money where their mouths are. Anyone who does a deal at the show will have their name entered into a competition to win a £1,000 contribution towards their vehicle from the show’s organisers.
Andy Entwistle, CEO and Show Director, said: “The British Motor Show is unlike many similar events because it’s being organised by car people, not just an events company. That means we’re one hundred per cent focused on the metal – we’re people who grew up playing with toy cars and our toys have just got bigger.
“The show is perfectly timed to coincide with the UK’s new ‘70’-plate registration on September 1st, making it the perfect marketplace for people to come and compare the latest and greatest models from across the industry.
“Because we’re focused on offering a hands-on experience for visitors and exhibitors alike, that means we want to make it somewhere where you can also do a deal. And for one lucky winner, there’s a grand in the pot from us.”
“We’ll be offering even more incentives in the run up to the show and making sure through our marketing that visitors know this isn’t just a show to look at feel, they can buy too!“
As well as a display of all the latest and greatest new cars, with manufacturers and dealers showing their flagship models that you can buy at the show, it will also have halls dedicated to classic cars, motorsport and a huge hall dedicated to electric cars and alternatively fuelled vehicles.
The ground-breaking new ‘Alternative Drive Experience” will be dedicated to electric, alternatively fuelled and hybrid vehicles and will give visitors the chance to experience first-hand what it’s like to drive an electric car – a first for many of the visitors to the show.
The organisers are expecting over 50,000 visitors through the doors between August 20th-23rd, dates which have been chosen to coincide with school holidays and make it as accessible as possible for all visitors.
Tickets for the show will represent terrific value at £18.50 for adults or £37 for families.
